Overview: In Hebrews Chapter 11 we see that the author gives us several examples as to how faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things that are not seen. Some of the examples were Abel, Noah, Enoch, Abraham, Sarah and there were many more. Going on to Chapter 12 it says:

Hebrews 12:1-2

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. ( 1 Corinthians 9:24; Philippians 3:12-14)
