Who is Jesus?

Who is Jesus? Perhaps this is the easiest question any believer could be asked yet, it could be the most difficult to answer.

To answer this question in a simplified form you would have to understand the person of Christ from a biblical point of view and from a personal point of view. You must be able to see Who Jesus is according to the scriptures and by having a personal relationship with him.

It is impossible to answer who Jesus is from a biblical aspect only, like wise it is impossible to know or explain who Jesus is from a relationship aspect only.

You must have both knowledge of the scriptures and a personal relationship!

When you take the biblical aspect and the relationship aspect then you get a perfect view of who Jesus is.

There are many answers people will give when asked the question Who is Jesus? Some will say he is a prophet, he is a historical figure, he is the son of God, he is the messiah, he is the son of Mary and some will even go so far to say “he was a good man” lol right! That answer right there, always makes my head kind of spin, but I will leave that alone for now. You see there are many different answers one could give, but among all these answers which one is true? Maybe you know the answer, so then let me ask you, WHO IS JESUS? Were you able to answer the question or do you still need more time to think? Do you even know how to answer this question?

(My Testimony of Who is Jesus?)

I will start by telling you guys who Jesus is to me based on a relationship point of view.

First of all he is my savior because he delivered me countless times when I was faced in situations that should have resulted in my death. With a strong arm he ultimately delivered me out of my sins and delivered me from bond, age to Satan and this world.

He is my Hope, every morning when I awake my prayer is always that Jesus would keep me. He is my motivation to continue to love others and crucify my flesh daily. He is the only hope I have for pretty much anything in my life. I feel like if I lose Christ, I lose everything including myself. My hope is to one day when this life is over to stand in his presence and hear well done. I cannot imagine anything else or having hope in anything greater.

He is my father, even though I was disobedient and hardheaded he never gave up on me. Instead he did everything in his power to make sure that I would be okay, that I would live and not die. So, he gave up all that he had to give me all that I needed, which was himself.

Also as any good father He disciplines and corrects me when I am disobedient, while still nurturing me. Ummm he is a good good Father!

He is my comforter, when death knocked at my door two times in they same fashion only years apart, it was Jesus who wrapped his arms around me in the midst of my tears, confusion, frustration and hurt and said “it is well”!

He is my peace when tribulation and trials try and overtake me, he reminds me that those things will happen but to be of good cheer because he has overcome the world. Whenever I keep my mind on him and trusting in him my soul is always at peace. When depression, worry and anxiety come bombarding me Jesus always steps in and calms the storm then says to me

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid”. john 14:27

He is my counselor, when my marriage was hanging on by a thread, I could not find anyone who could truly help me. Then one day I went into the chapel and I just talked and talked and talked and Jesus listened. Then something remarkable happened, Jesus spoke back to me and gave me the words that saved my marriage. Then, is when I finally came to know him as counselor. So, now whenever I need to talk, especially when my thoughts are attacking me; I can meet him anywhere, he is always available, and he always has the perfect answer and solution for everything.

He is my provider, when he told me and my husband to pack up and move across the country with no job, no house, no family and I was 5 months pregnant he provided everything we needed within 60 days. We were able to move with no outside help and he sustained us for 2 years off 1 income with higher bills. Our income had decreased by half and our bills had increased by $700 but our provider always made sure we had what we needed and more the entire time. Still to this day me in my husband wonder how we made it for those 2 years.

He is the author and finisher of my faith; he gave me a measure of faith and for the last 6 years I have been able to grow in that faith and it has been carrying me day by day. I know it has only been by his grace I have been able to advance in my faith. Me Amanda! If I did not have Jesus, I would have thrown in the towel on having Faith. I know that he will continue to grace me to grow in that faith to the appointed time when I meet him. There are many more things I could say but I must let the bible speak now. Praise the Lord!

Scriptural Aspect

The bible Sayyyyssss!

He is the Word of God

In the beginning was the word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

He is the lamb of God

…Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world. John 1:29

He is the only way to God

Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man come to the father except by me. John 14:6

He is the light of the world

He is the source of life

Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life; he that come to me shall never hunger, and that believe on me shall never thirst. John 6:35

He is the shepherd of our souls

I am the good Shepherd the, the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. John 10:11

He is our resting place

Then Jesus Said, come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. Matthew 11:28-29

Savior of the whole world

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 1 John 4:14

Jesus is the victor

He defeated the rulers and powers of the spiritual world. With the cross he won the victory over them and led them away, as defeated, and powerless prisoners for the whole world to see. Colossians 2:15

Jesus is judge

Because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained…. Acts 17:31

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body. 2 Corinthians 5:10

Who is Jesus?

From these two perspectives based on a relationship and what the Holy Bible teaches I think it is safe to answer this question in short by saying, "He is wonderful, he is counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting father and the prince of Peace. He is the only person that could save our souls from the power of sin and death, because he walked this earth living perfectly and sacrificed his life on the cross for ours. He has the most powerful name in the history of mankind and only by Jesus Christ can a person be forgiven of theirs sins and joined to fellowship with God.

If you do not know who Jesus is based on a relationship and the Holy Bible, its time you get to know him. Waiting to later is not sufficient, there may not be a later. One day we will all leave this earth and if you do not know him as savior today you will only know him as judge in eternity.

Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion. Hebrews 3:15

So, who is Jesus? Do you know Him?

I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE ENDING, SAITH THE LORD, WHICH IS AND WHICH WAS AND WHICH IS TO COME, THE ALMIGHTY.
